Well, during our posting hiatus, Ivy's 18 month mark has come and gone. These studio pics were taken right around that time.
She's a really great Kid, but for the past month or so our whole family has been trading illnesses back and forth, back and forth. I had a cold virus for just under a month (This sounds quite a bit tamer than it actually was). Meg had a lightning fast bout with stomach flu, then completely lost her voice, then got a sore throat. Ivy shared my cold for quite some time, and now seems to be in the middle of a sore throat. She's super cranky and refuses to eat just about everything. When contacted, our Pediatrician does what she ALWAYS does and tells us to tough it out. Awesome. This of course hits just as Ivy's sleep schedule was returning to normal. For about a week or so she decided it was in her best interest to wake up anywhere from 4 to 6 in the morning and NOT take a nap during the day. Half the reason I've waited so long to post about this stuff is because if I wrote about it WHILE it was happening, someone would have probably taken her away from us. It was pretty rough and nerves were frayed. The only thing worse than a sick baby is taking care of a sick baby while you yourself are sick. Even through all that crap we DID sneak in a couple of "good" times. I'll post some pics soon.

Is it weird that these pictures actually made me a little misty? Damn, she's one cute kid! I think it's the last one that got me ... like a leetle angel!
It DOES look a little like a mailer for a Christian mission, doesn't it?
